I hope to shed some light on the short-term variations in solar activity, the 11-year solar cycle, during my PhD. To do so I will study 10Be (in ice cores) and C-14 data (in tree rings). Since the 11-year solar cycle is a short-term variation, it is necessary to use high resolution data. Studies on cosmogenic radionuclides can be useful to investigate the sun’s effect on climate on earth.
